President Donald Trump announced plans to renovate the Washington Dulles International Airport, which he called “incorrectly designed.”
According to a Politico article by Oriana Pawlyk, “The proposed upgrades would significantly overhaul the experience for passengers at Dulles. Expanded parking, redesigned check-in areas and more efficient security screening aimed at reducing congestion are among the proposed upgrades.”
The changes include eliminating the airport’s people movers, which critics call slow and inefficient, and building a new parking garage that would house up to 32,000 cars. The entire project is estimated to cost around $22 billion.
