قسمتی از متن فیلم: Is really this new innovative program to create a seamless public round in new york city parks represents 14 percent of the city’s footprint streets and sidewalks represents 26% collectively that’s 40 percent of New York City’s in the public realm and the goal is to make it seamless the average citizen doesn’t
Know when they’re walking on parks property or department transportation property and they don’t care they want to have this seamless public realm our parks and public spaces aren’t Islands they’re connected to other things there’s sidewalks and bike waves and streets and the goal is great that seamless public realm to really take
Advantage of our streets and sidewalks and making it Park life so we had this great session on par set of borders we had four speakers I opened up and introducing the program and showed visuals about why we needed to create a public of seamless public ground the next speaker was someone from parks
Department or design director and she showed a number of examples about how we either improved the park already the park so borders or some designs were about to do in the future the next speaker was sean print from the department of transportation and he was showing how the collaboration between
Parks and VOT is working and a last speaker it was one of the winners of the parks Without Borders nomination process in the Bronx Milka Martell and she was sharing the park that she grew up near that had a fence around it her entire life they never set foot in it and the
Previous Parks Department said it was reserved long the community and us are so excited it’s now we’re going to open up that park so for the first time in 40 years they’ll now have access to this incredible green space so people enjoyed it lots of questions lots of interest
And so from my perspective but it was a rewarding program and the audience I believe got a lot out of it
